Touring through Vermont’s “treasure towns” with the family aboard? Here are some stops you’ll want to add to your itinerary. Near Norwich, hop on the White River Flyer for a choice of train rides along the Connecticut River Valley or to neighboring villages. Near Vergennes, look for “treasure” in Button Bay State Park. Near Newfane, plan a picnic and a swim at Townshend Lake Recreation Area.
