This should definitely be the winner!! SO New England – cobblestones, Nantucket Reds, L.L. Bean boots AND Salty!
Salty gets my vote! Couldn’t be more New England and couldn’t be more perfect to grace the pages of Yankee! Nice work Salty!!! What a handsome lad!!!
Salty is by far the very best!!!! Prejudiced as he’s my grandpup!…but he is the cutest!
Salt of the earth photo!!!
Super cute little guy and the ‘reds’ look distinctly anchored in a New England. And his paws are HUGE!!!!
Salty is so New England and his mom loves Yankee Magazine!! He would be so honored to be the winner!
Salty loves Yankee Magazine and so does his mom – always referring to it as we share adventures traveling in New England. The puppy face, bean boots, Nantucket reds and dock on the water are a true New England sight!
I want one! This is the best picture.
Salty is the best – a real son of New England photographed with Beaners and Nantucket Reds!………
Love the picture of Salty! Nantucket Reds with the leash to match, Bean boots, cobblestones, the Daffodil Festival and the most beautiful Golden-perfectly New England!
perfect doggy smile, perfect doggy pose!! definitely the best picture!!!
Salty Dog is my favorite.
The Reading Bench makes me want to grab my favorite book and jump into the photo and sit down and read while smelling the fresh blossoms under the tree and enjoying all the wonderful signs of spring. The small bunch of colored flowers in the background makes you wonder what other beautiful colors and blooms one would see while sitting under that tree. That bench is calling your name to come and sit and enjoy nature’s beauty even if you don’t want to read.
My vote is for Salty..nothing says New England like a golden and Nantucket Reds!! From the L.L. Bean boots to the cobblestones on Nantucket..this picture is a sure winner!!
Have to go with a puppy on the cover…what could be more fitting? And, with a name like Salty, it was just meant to be!
The reading bench gets my vote.
Salty Dog in my opinion. Absolutely depicts New England life.
I really like Old Orchard Pier, but I think Spring Flowers is a better representation of Spring.
David Stone has my vote with the blossoming tree altho the bench looks out of place to me. Just give me a blanket and the latest Yankee magazine.
Salty,what a true picture !
Love the reading bench. I want to be there.
Old Orchard Pier – fantastic picture-the black and white really makes the picture! Great contrast and sharpness.
The bench calls to me on a spring afternoon.
Moe Chen. A non conventional representation which makes it unique. Draws viewer into photo. While the macro flower is well done it is a typical and over done photo. I love goldens (Salty) but doesn’t represent “spring” like a photograph is able to do. The dock captures that transition time when air is becoming warmer and ice and snow are melting. The light in spring is like no other time of the year.
Love the bench!
At the Dock by Jessica just keeps drawing me in. I hike frequently and this pic captures spring in New England like no other. For me it is the mud that I complain about while walking in the spring but what I wished for all winter, especially the one we just had.
My comment is for Robert Donofrio: I am the photographer of the “Spring Flower”. I assume when you say my photo is over done, you are suggesting my photo is Photoshopped or that I used some other plug in to play with the colors of the photo. I am a straight photographer. I photograph in raw and only use basic adjustments to process my work. This photo was taken on a wet, foggy, rainy day. A perfect time for taking pictures of flowers and capturing their true beautiful color.
the flower is a spectacular shot but just doesn’t say new england to me. i’ve gotta go with salty too
