2012 My Hometown Photo Contest
The 2012 My Hometown Photo Contest is now closed.
Winners will be announced in the March/April 2013 issue of Yankee Magazine.
What makes your hometown, whether native born, or adopted, special to you? Can your photo(s) capture the essence of your New England hometown? We want to see what you come you come up with. Maybe it’s a place, a landscape, its people, an event that defines the spirit of where you call home. Every town is unique, and Yankee wants to share with its readers the best images we see from around New England. Send us your entries by 4:00 P.M. on Oct.1, 2012 and we will publish the winning photos in the March/April 2013 issue and award cash prizes.
- Grand Prize: The grand prize winner will receive $500.
- 2nd place: The 2nd place winner will receive $300.
- 3rd place: The 3rd place winner will receive $200.
Photographs recognized as runners up may also appear in the print edition.
Rules for Photo Contest: Submit your best digital shots of your hometown between June 15, 2012 at 10:00 am US Eastern Time and October 1, 2012 at 4:00 pm US Eastern Time for a chance to win Yankee Magazine‘s “My Hometown” Photo Contest. Photo subject is not restricted to landscapes, but all shots entered must have been taken in one of the six New England states between June 15, 2010 and October 1, 2012, to be entered into the contest and eligible to win. Please note that photographs taken outside of New England are not eligible to win.
We can accept photos up to 10MB in size, but no larger than 2100 pixels high by 2100 pixels wide in dimension. You can submit GIF, JPEG, or PNG files. Finalists must be able to provide Yankee with a print quality hi-res file of their photograph.
Winners will be contacted by November 15, 2012 and announced in the March/April 2013 issue of Yankee Magazine. It could be yours! Be sure to select the category 2012 My Hometown Photo Contest when you submit your photo. Photos submitted to the wrong category will not be eligible to win.
You may submit up to 5 photos, but please do not submit the same images more than once.
Employees of Yankee Magazine, its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, dealers or retailers, advertising, production and promotion agencies, and the immediate families and members of the same household of each are not eligible.
