When we first looked at this shot, the composition of the splash of red pants on the right and the matching dog leash winding through the frame drew our attention. Upon further inspection, we realized that Nantucket Reds and Bean Boots are not only New England icons, but also spring essentials. Staff and readers alike agreed that Salty should be the winner of our Spring Photo Contest. Congratulations!

Oh my gosh that picture of “Salty” the golden retriever is precious!! What a doll….I love goldens and have always wanted one. This little one makes me smile. Absolutely beautiful!
