9. Once all your shoe forms are secure, cut a piece of brown kraft paper the size of the wood panel. Glue it to the back of the panel along the edges; this will cover the screws and finish the back of the panel nicely.

10. Affix two eye hooks to the back of the panel, string picture wire between them, and mount a picture hook on your wall. (Or, if you’re going to hang weighty items, affix heavy-duty picture hangers to the back of the panel and sturdy picture hooks to your wall.) Mount your new coatrack and you’ve got a unique addition to your home décor!

antique wooden shoe forms
yardstick & pencil
wood panel
paint (optional)
saw, drill, screwdriver, hammer
wood glue
wood screws, nails
kraft paper
eye hooks or picture hangers
picture wire
picture hook(s)
