I have several large clear plastic containers. Can they be used to make a terrarium or must it be glass? Thanks so much

When I was a kid we called these “winter gardens” and we went looking in the woods for the plants. I fondly remember my mom and dad and I going on a fall Sunday afternoon to gather the plants. A favorite container in those days was a large flat fish bowl that we would seal with plastic and a rubber band.
