I shoot often at Pemaquid Lighthouse which is gorgeous at any time of year with it’s fabulous rock fromations and lovely lighthouse! It is always busy in summer as a frequent visitor site with people who enjoy just sitting and watching/listening to the surf.
Beth, Pemaquid IS awesome – but they would only let me pick 5! What an impossible task!
And you left out Sugar Hill NH.. and Salem, well lets just say the list of left out places is long and distinguished… It might be easier to name the places I don’t want to shoot pictures of…
I think that, per square foot, Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens has more “photo ops” than anywhere else in New England. There are waterfront vistas, gorgeous natural landscapes and wildflowers, and ornamental gardens beyond compare, with photogenic stonework and waterfalls and fountains. The children’s garden is amazing – and, speaking of photogenic, what a great place to take pictures of the kids and grandkids!
As Jeff alluded too there so many places to get a great photo and your 5 choices are certainly worthy locations. I just wanted to add regarding Franconia that the White Mountains have alot of awesome waterfalls and Bridal Veil Falls just a couple of miles southeast of Franconia is one of the best. It’s a 2 mile hike(moderate) but worth it.
I feel a roadtrip coming on!
