Yankee Magazine Named National City and Regional Magazine Awards Finalist in Three Categories
Dublin, New Hampshire (March 9, 2009) – Yankee Magazine is a 2009 National City and Regional Magazine Awards Finalist in three categories, including “Column,” “Multimedia Extension,” and “Excellence Online.” Last year, Yankee Magazine won a silver award for “Excellence Online.” Magazine professionals from around the country chose more than 100 finalists, representing 31 publications, in the 24-year-old National City and Regional Magazine Association’s awards competition.
“Many of the outstanding magazines in the country belong to the City and Regional Magazine Association. These magazines reflect a sense of place better than any,” says Yankee Magazine editor Mel Allen. “I’m pleased and honored to see the contributions of Yankee’s staff recognized as among the most outstanding in the country. For years our readers have told us that we succeed in capturing the essence of New England, but to also receive praise from the CRMA judges who represent magazine professionals makes all of us feel that we’re reaching our goals in print and on the Web.”
The winners will be announced in late May in New Orleans, Louisiana, at the CRMA’s 33rd Annual Conference. Yankee Magazine submitted the following information to the review committee and is competing against these finalists:
