JUNE 14–AUGUST 24: BECKET, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival. JUNE 25–29: GLOUCESTER, St. Peter’s Fiesta. Continuing the customs of its early settlers, the community pays homage to the patron saint of fishermen with an open-air Mass at the Altar in St. Peter’s Square, followed by a procession and the blessing of the Italian American fishing fleet. JULY 5–6: NEW BEDFORD, New Bedford Folk Festival. JULY 16–DECEMBER 28: BOSTON, “Jamie Wyeth: A Retrospective.” The Museum of Fine Arts exhibits the first comprehensive retrospective of the artist’s work, examining his imaginative approach to realism over the course of six decades, including recurring themes inspired by the people, places, and objects that populate his world. mfa.org

AUGUST 2–3: STURBRIDGE, Redcoats & Rebels. Old Sturbridge Village presents the region’s largest military re-enactment, with nearly 1,000 soldiers portraying British, Irish, Spanish, Scottish, French and Colonial troops. AUGUST 7–10: LENOX, Tanglewood Wine & Food Classic.
