Great story; fantastic photos.
GREAT PHOTO SHOW! LETS SEE MORE, BUT ON DIFFERENT SUBJECTS THAT ARE JUST AS PHOTOGENIC. HAVE NICE DAY!
There are at least 3 photos here that clearly show that the loons being photographed were in distress at the photographer being too close. The photos may be beautiful, but disturbing the fast disappearing loon population, and especially loons on nests or with young, should be a crime. Even if she used a long lens, this photographer was too close. And if she did any research on loons, she certainly knew from the loons posturing that she was causing distress. The July-August 2011 issue of Yankee, specifically pointed out the conflicts between people and loons. After running that article, Yankee should have never published these particular 3 photos, except in an article entitled “DON”T DO THIS”!
