  Tyler, Patricia and their five children of Millix Family Farm have 45 laying hens that provide fresh eggs for their homemade baked goods. Tricia won The Sturbridge Village Apple Pie Award two years in a row. She makes weekly pie deliveries and more to The Williamantic Food Coop and is working ona new line of organic baby food.

  Cato Corner Farm is a small family farm in Colchester, Connecticut, where the mother-son team of Elizabeth and Mark tend a herd of 30-40 cows, primarily jerseys, along with several Brown Swiss, and hand craft award-winning aged, raw milk, farmstead cheeses.

  Fabyan Sugar Shack is a family owned business in Thompson, Connecticut producing pure maple syrup, maple candy, maple cream, maple jelly, maple ice cream topping and maple seasoning blends. Last year, a grant from the Connecticut State Department of Agriculture, matched by an equal investment from the family, funded two new vacumn systems allowing them to triple the amount of finished syrup they produced in 2011.

  Hurricane Farm in Scotland, Connecticut began as a family challenge to produce all the food necessary for a resplendent Thanksgiving table. This small, diverse family farm strives for self-sufficiency and to share their farming knowledge with others. They produce pastured meats including grass fed beef, nitrate free pork and heritage turkeys, and grow vegetables, make maple syrup and build chicken coops. They offer a meat CSA.

  Beltane Farm began making cheese from the milk of twelve Oberhasli goats nearly 15 years ago. Today, along with their partner farm, Oak Leaf Dairy, eighty four goats are milked twice daily between the two farms and more than 12 different styles of goat cheese are made at the farm. They enjoy a true partnership with their goats providing excellent care and quality of life for them and in exchange they produce excellent milk for the farm's cheese and yogurt. The goats grace the farm with their presence and personality and keep everyone connected to the seasons.

  There is a feeling of serenity at Topmost Herb Farm. Among the herbs, perennials and heirloom vegetables resides the spirit of the gentle Lithuanian grandfather who came to this country and discovered lush farm land in Coventry, Connecticut.

  At Topmost Herb Farm, a small portion of the original farm remains, affording a magnificent view and dedication to growing in partnership with nature, as the fields and gardens have never known chemicals or pesticides.

  Erin Windham, an LA transplant, and Doug Baggott, a potter, have shared a 15 year long farming journey which led them first to Vermont and then to Connecticut to join the third generation family farm.

  In Granby, Connecticut, on Windham Gardens' 600 acres, they grow field crops like the earliest sweet corn in the state, greenhouse ornamentals, grain, specialty cut flowers, and animals, and bring a little of everything to the Coventry Regional Farmers' Market.

  Sleepy Moon Soaps are produced at Bailey Farm in the summer kitchen of the farmhouse in Franklin, Connecticut. Soap formulas include using local farm products like honey and maple syrup, organic herbs, beeswax, fresh goat's milk, and buttermilk and cream from grass-fed cows and yolks from free-range hens.
