Having grown up on a farm located 2 miles from the highway I understand mud season! I now live 8 miles from town but am lucky enough to live on a paved county road. I don't miss fighting the soupy roads!!

Sounds like a grand party despite this season's signature slush. Every year in Hawley, Massachusetts, we have a mud-season party in which everyone has to bring something made with chocolate in tribute to the brown countryside. I'm sure Pumpkin would have enjoyed it........
