Birdcages, fish bowls, dog collars, squirrel cages, and chewed furniture--these are the material remains of pet ownership in New England. Historic New England's Senior Curator Nancy Carlisle located more than eighty objects associated with pets from the eighteenth through the early twentieth century. This talk features some of the beloved animals of the Jewett family. $5.
