Jennifer Pustz, museum historian for Historic New England, explores the diversity of domestic service in New England over the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, including in the South Berwick homes of Sarah Orne Jewett and the Tysons of Hamilton House. Period domestic manuals and ephemera bring the daily lives of servants and their relationships with their employers to light. Registration is recommended. $5.
