Learn the key role wind power played in the history of Aquidneck Island and the vital part it can play in its future. The tour begins at the historic Sherman Windmill at Prescott Farm. After the tour of this 1812 windmill, participants drive to Portsmouth Abbey to see the modern, electricity-generating wind turbine. Authentic Rhode Island Johnnycakes will be served.
