The sheep get their yearly old-fashioned shearing during Memorial Day Weekend at Old Sturbridge Village. Visitors can watch demonstrations of sheep herding with border collies and learn about the care and keeping of sheep. OSV's costumed historians will demonstrate the entire wool textile process, from scouring and carding to spinning and knitting. Visitors can try carding the wool by hand and then see how much faster the old-fashioned Village carding mill can get the job done.
