With the U.S. being in the financially sad state of affairs because of the present administration, "promises" that can't be kept, and a bunch of party loyalists who can't make a realistic decision, I thank God we have what we still have have. Enjoy it folks, it may not last much longer

I lost my husband to lung cancer last December. I am thankful for the 46 years we had together (though not long enough) and for the two daughters we raised. Now I have 5 grandchildren for which I am thankful each and every day. Family is the blessing for which I am most thankful as well as the home my husband and I created.

How could one not be greatful in these trying days. If we have family and food on our table, what more could one ask for... Life has become too materialistic..I am thankful for good health, family and love of our great country....

I am thankful that I am still above ground, that I have food to eat and a roof over my head, clothes on my back a fire in the stove (so to speak) I am blessed. I am loved by God first and my family and friends second. There are so many out there who have so much less than I do and I have it all year around some only get this blessing once or twice a year. So I am rich beyond compare and live way below the poverty line but God has richly blessed me.

I am so very grateful for my husband and two sons, my parents, brother and the short time I had with my sister. I am grateful that I have amazing friends. And, thankfully, I have a job.

I am thankful for my 5 little grandchildren. Two, twin girls, were on the way when my husband lost his battle to prostate cancer. I am thankful every minute of every day for my healthy grandchildren and my son and daughter....but I regret my husband could not share the love of today, or know the joy two little girls who were premature, could bring, but I always felt he was like a guardian angel and along with their other late grandfather, Opa, and the nurses and doctors, they are what helped bring these little angels through the scary times...and for that, I am so thankful. I am thankful my two eldest grandaughters remember their GrandDad. I am thankful he saw his little grandson at 6 months in a Boston Celtic Sweater....two weeks before he died. I could not bear to think one day I would not be with him.....Happy Thanksgiving to Yankee Magazine that makes me feel some things have not changed.

I lost my husband of 50 1/2 years in May,but I am still very thankful for family and friends, my health, my job, my home, and my faith. Without faith I could not get through my husband's death in one piece. Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this vote and to comment and to read others' comments.

I am thankful for my family and our health. I'm also thankful to be living in the community we are in and for the church I attend.

I'm thankful that God created the heavens and the earth. I'm thankful that he gave us the Bible, so we could get to know him.
I'm thankful that he gave us his son, to take our sins away.
