All info is held by Yankee and they will tell me what the winning guessers email address is so I can contact you. You should provide a valid email or I will have no way to contact you.

To play you just post a reply in this thread with your guess and I would appreciate it if you would keep it to one per family. You just need to provide the closest guess to how many miles I have traveled between Sept 25th to Oct 31st.

No, that prize sounds nice! I will guess 3925. I think it will be a great foliage year up there.

Well, I have a strategy..... I love the prize!!!! I will be guessing in a little bit...

I'll be awaiting with baited breath.... You have to wonder if the person who came up with that saying was a fisherman... :-)

I hadn't made a prediction yet because I have no more idea than a goose what to guess, but I'm just gonna jump in here below everyone else with 3500 and hope I'm lucky.

Hi Jeff-

I was the lucky winner of last year's foliage mileage contest. That was the first and, so far, only thing I have ever won in my life. What a nice surprise! Well, let's see, this year I will guess 3225. What type of season do you anticipate due to the crazy spring/summer we have had in CT at least? I already feel autumn in the air and for that I am so grateful. On top of that, I was laid off after 12 years at the same job and just recently found another job. It is a temp to perm but it does look promising. Keeping my fingers crosses. I don't know if I will be able to take any time off so I will have to enjoy the season of all seasons vicariously through my fellow peepers!

I will guess at 3450 miles.

Hi and We'll see how the mileage goes this year... I am going to be hitting the road earlier to head to northern edges or NH and VT so I think my mileage should be up there again this year... And since I just sold my truck (Can I say I miss my truck!) I'm now driving the car I take my Dad around in and it gets good mileage and it's very comfortable.. Can we say fat ride...
It will make getting up north a little more relaxing... but off roade travels will be a little less :-(

I have seen or heard nothing that indicates that this shouldn't be a great year. I've seen some maples with a fungus that causes the maples to trun brown and drop leaves early but it isn't prevalent across all areas... But I'm keeping my eyes open... So far it's far and few.. let's hope it stays that way...

I DIDN"T say go "No where"... Maybe I figured you would do some EXTRA travel since the color is amazing this year... just saying, lol.

I think you're fishing.. LOL Well I will be (hopefully) heading to the NEK on Friday to see if we are at peak yet.. I don't think they will be but I need to go check... Anything to get out of the house... and my early trip which saw decent color last weekend was my longest single fall foliage trip... three days... and XXX.X miles... (shhh that's a secret)

and I got to see the grandkids.

I hate to say this but I've set a new record for mileage this year... I know some folks will hate to hear that... but it may help others to make their guesses... Remember you only have until Oct 31st to guess how many miles you think I'll drive in my foliage search this year.

For those who have asked... No a trip to the grocery store and looking at the leaves does not count as a foliage trip... I only include those that start out with a specific goal in mind. Like Sat morning. I got up and on the road at 6AM and drove to Sudbury MA to capture the Longfellow Grist mill and Wayland church...

This counted as 79.9 miles of leaf peeping journey... I'll have the pictures of this in the blog this week... I hope since I'm getting behind.... Waaay behind on subject matter.

I'll put my guess at 4380~and hope for 2nd place. The dvd would be wonderful, since I missed visiting this year, and am having terrible 'New England withdrawls'...and shall plan better for next year. Keep the pictures coming.Thanks

Well you guess is noted and we'll see what happens. It's been a great year for color even with all the rain and wind so I'm enjoying myself immensely. It's getting close to the end and I'm going out today up route 1 to Rowley and then up to NH to put out decorations... I have a Halloween posting getting ready to publish so we'll see how many miles I add today...

50 hours until the contest is over and I'm ready for a rest.. over X amount of miles in 45 days... That's a lot of miles... When you find out how many miles I drove I think most of you will go "wow"... I know I do when I look at my log book.

Look for the results Sunday or Monday...

I spent the morning adding in the last few miles that I traveled this week and the grand total came up to 4803.3. No wonder I feel tired lately...
This is a new record for me so while I chew on my Halloween Candy I will announce the winners

Jinkies with a guess of 4623.0 And Calamitykit with 4380.0

Well I've sent emails to the addresses they have listed and they will receive their prizes as soon as I receive their mailing addresses (For some reason the USPS requires more than Calamitykit on a box??)

Calamitykit is from NC...
