Organize Pots and Pans in the Kitchen

by The Editors of Yankee Magazine

Hanging Pots

Follow these tips to organize pots and pans in the kitchen.

Pots and pans eat up a lot of room in kitchen cabinets. The first step to organizing that space is to get rid of any pots, pans or gadgets you don't use regularly. This may also improve your cooking as the pan you use all the time will turn out the best food. Why? You'll learn its idiosyncrasies and know how to get the best results from it.

Once you've figured out which ones you use the most frequently, pull them out of the cabinets and hang them within easy access of your kitchen workspace. With so many different styles of pot racks to choose from these days that you're bound to find one that fits your decor. Or if you want to infuse your kitchen with a rustic or industrial look while practicing frugality, hang pots from an old ladder suspended from the ceiling or organize them on a peg board.
