Weekend: Guilford, Connecticut
Make one last stop before heading home. Bishop's Orchards farm market, bakery, and winery on Boston Post Road sells native apples and cider almost all year, as well as homemade pies, apple butter, and applesauce. Take some home and linger with Guilford a little while longer.

Guilford is a wonderful place to shop. Som Siam is a wonderful Thai restaurant on the green, down the brick walk from the Purple Bear. Madison, one town East is nice as well. R J Julia's booksellers, is a place to browse for a book, magazine, gift, or card, or grab a cup of tea and scone in the in store Cafe. Many shops line Rt. 1. Good food, good eating, abound in this area.
