Samuel Fitch House, Westford, MA
This home contains a secret room (no longer viewable) near the chimney shaft where fugitives could stay warm. You can still see the escape tunnel out of the cellar, but modern road construction has collapsed the exit.

The Tern Inn and Cottages, West Harwich, MA
Fugitives once crammed themselves into the tiny circular cellar under the living room floor. Although the inn now offers more spacious accommodations, the staff will proudly talk about their original guestroom.
