Baking with Turnips and Carrots
Root vegetables -- turnips, onions, parsnips, potatoes -- can last for months if stored properly. A cool, dark, dry spot with good ventilation will keep them edible for months. Be sure to check on them every now and again, and don't store them in plastic bags.
