The clues:
First: When famed Boston Celtic number 33 was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1998 in Springfield, Massachusetts, his plaque extolled his "court savvy," among other skills.
Second: Ravens have long fascinated Bernd Heinrich, biology professor emeritus at the University of Vermont, who studied their behavior in a forest setting in Maine. His award-winning Mind of the Raven is considered a landmark study of avian intelligence.
