Purple Finch Free Fall
Captured this nesting pair of Purple finches, gathering material for a nest they were building in the rafters of a Lowes Hardware store here in Windham, Maine. I happened to be in the right place, right time to catch the male dropping down to capture the twig he had been clutching in his beak, while the female behind him looks on. I had the pleasure of browsing the garden center of Lowes looking for any birds that nest up in the shelves, where we can't reach. It's a wonderful setup for them, they have running water from the displays of fountains, and the many flowering trees and bushes and flowers galore! I really want to go back and see what other birds i can capture!
