Apple Bread

Yield: Makes 1 loaf.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter1 cup sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 cup chopped, peeled apples
1/2 cup chopped dates
1/4 cup chopped nuts
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup sour milk (or add 1/2 teaspoon vinegar to regular milk)
Instructions:
Cream together butter and sugar and beat until light. Add egg and blend, then stir in fruit and nuts. Combine dry ingredients, and add alternately with milk. Pour into a greased loaf pan and bake in a preheated 350 degrees F oven for about an hour.Browse Similar Recipes
