Basic Shortbread Dough

by
Dough for Caramel "Turtle" Tart or Chocolate-Hazelnut Tartlets (double if making both recipes)

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup flour

Instructions:

Blend butter and brown sugar. Add flour and mix briefly, until dough can hold ball shape. Set aside and chill.

    I enjoyed making and tasting the recipe; however, my family enjoys their grandma’s old-time recipe even more.
