Hilda Garey won her first state-level Beef Cook-Off with this version of Sloppy Joes.Ingredients:
2-1/2- to 3-pound chuck roast1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1-1/2 cups ketchup
3 tablespoons hot taco sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons vinegar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon chili powder
8 hamburger buns
