This recipe for the Best Spaghetti Ever came from my Aunt Shorty. This dish is a family favorite -- everyone in our house loves it.
Boil water for the noodles. Rinse noodles with hot water after cooking.
Sauté ground beef and onions. I squeeze the whole tomatoes and add them plus tomato sauce, tomato paste, mushrooms, oregano, bay leaves, garlic, Italian seasoning, sugar, and water. Simmer sauce 20 minutes covered. Remove the lid and cook approximately 10 minutes. Remove bay leaves. We like to sprinkle grated parmesan cheese on top.
