Bev's Pickle Relish

I got this recipe from my sister Bev and I want to share her yummy pickle relish with others.Ingredients:
3 quarts ground cucumbers3 or 4 large onions, ground
2 tablespoons canning salt
3 peppers, red or green, I prefer red ones
3 cups dark vinegar
1 teaspoon alum
4 cups sugar
1 tablespoon salt
1-1/2 teaspoons celery seed
1-1/2 teaspoons mustard seed
1-1/2 teaspoons tumeric
Instructions:
Mix together cucumbers, onions, peppers, and canning salt. Let stand for 1 hour. Drain and squeeze out excess juice. Add remaining ingredients, cook for about 20 minutes and then seal in jars, in pressure cooker, bring up to 5 pounds and shut off heat.This recipe was submitted by one of our readers and has not been tested by our food editors.
