Yield: Makes 4 dozen.

Brysell is the Swedish word for Brussels. These cookies are similar in taste to sugar cookies and are nice for packing in a lunch or serving at tea time.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups butter
  • 1 cup confectioners sugar
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions:

Cream butter and sugar, and add flour and vanilla. Shape into logs and roll in colored sugar, crushed nuts, or pearl sugar. Slice into 1/4-inch rounds. Bake at 350 degrees F for 7 to 9 minutes on ungreased baking sheet.
