Ingredients:

2 cups light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 cup butter
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped dates
1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions:

Cream the butter and sugar, and sift flour together with the cream of tartar and salt. Combine all these ingredients and drop by teaspoons on greased cookie sheets. Bake in a moderate oven (350 degrees F) for 3 or 4 minutes. Don't let the cookies get too brown.
