Yield: 1-1/2 cups

Package this easy caramel sauce in a glass jar, wind some colorful ribbon around it, and give it away to friends and family during the holidays.
Easy Caramel Sauce


  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream


Melt butter in a heavy saucepan over medium heat; add brown sugar and corn syrup, then cook, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil. Gradually add cream, stirring constantly. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat. Cool to room temperature.

    This recipe along with the pumpkin cheesecake with walnut ginger crust is like a dream recipe to use at any time with any event in the home. The sauce is great to give as a gift.
