Cheese Sticks

Yield: Makes 2 dozen.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3 tablespoons milk, or more
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Combine cheese, flour, baking powder, and salt. Add egg and enough milk to make a stiff dough. Roll dough on a floured board into 1/4-to 1/2-inch thick logs. Cut into 4-inch segments. Place logs on a greased baking sheet and bake 10 minutes, until golden brown. Serve hot.
