Chocolate Caramel Sauce
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 3 tbsp heavy cream
- 1 oz fine quality bittersweet coarsely chopped chocolate
- 1/8 tsp vanilla
Instructions:cook sugar in a heavy saucepan over moderately high heat until sugar begins to melt - 2 mins.
Stir occasionally with a fork until sugar is melted into a deep golden caramel - 2 to 3 mins
Once bubbles begin to subside - add chocolate and stir until smooth.
Stir in vanilla - store or use atop ice cream right away...
