Cold Prevention Soup

Yield: Makes 4 servings.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • ground pepper, to taste
  • 1 bay leaf
  • juice of 1 lemon

Instructions:

Combine all ingredients except the lemon juice in a saucepan and simmer briefly. Remove from heat and add the lemon juice. Remove the bay leaf and sip the soup from a mug so you can inhale the steam – sure relief when a cold is coming on!
