Crab Imperial

Yield: Serves 4

Simple, colorful, and quick -- perfect for a dinner party. --Colby Hill Inn, Henniker, New Hampshire

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound lump crabmeat
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper, sautéed in butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup pimiento
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs (fresh or dry)
  • Cayenne to taste

Instructions:

Place all ingredients in large mixing bowl and mix thoroughly. Fill ceramic crab shells with mixture and bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes.
