- 1 cup bulgur (cracked wheat)
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 6 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 2 cups beef or chicken stock, boiling
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
