Ingredients:

  • 1/2 pound dried beef
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup light cream
  • pepper

Instructions:

Separate the pieces of meat and soak them in hot water for 10 minutes to remove some of the salt. Meantime melt the butter, add the flour and, gradually while stirring the cream to make a cream sauce. Season with the pepper and add the drained dried beef. This may be served on hot buttered toast or poured over stuffed baked potatoes.
