Yield: Makes about 8 servings.
The secret ingredient is the cloves!Ingredients:
4 pounds chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch-size pieces1/3 cup virgin olive oil
2 onions, sliced
2 tablespoons butter
1 clove garlic, minced
3 whole cloves
Instructions:
Place the chicken pieces, in batches, into a plastic bag with a couple of tablespoons of sifted flour. Shake to cover the pieces with flour. Pour virgin olive oil into a frying pan and sautIngredients:
1/3 cup tomato paste1 cup sliced mushrooms
3/4 cup chicken stock
3/4 cup dry white wine
2 tablespoons brandy or 1/3 cup Muscatel
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
1 bay leaf
1/8 teaspoon thyme
1/8 teaspoon sweet marjoram
Instructions:
Simmer in the slow cooker for 3 to 4 hours and serve over pasta or rice.—Diane Thompson and Dan Workman
