This is a favorite family recipe handed down from my grandmother who came from Nova Scotia.Ingredients:
1 stick butter or margarine4 or 5 potatoes, mashed
4 onions, chopped fine
1/2 loaf stale bread, torn
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon parsley
4 tablespoons savory
2 eggs
Instructions:
Add butter to mashed potatoes. Mix in onions, bread, salt, pepper, parsley and savory. Add eggs when mixture has cooled down. Stuff turkey and cook accordingly. This is also good just baked, uncovered, in a dish for 30 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees.

Also from Nova Scotia, live in BC, no one here makes this type of stuffing, use dried bread cubes mostly. This is just great…thanks
Just like my grandmother’s from Nova Scotia. The best cooks in the world
Also learned this recipe from my mother. We were from Nova Scotia as well. Never found anything better to replace it.
My grandmother’s from Nova Scotia where some of the best cooks on the Atlantic side of the continent reside–she’s one of them. She has made this recipe for years. Yum!
This is very close to my Grandmother’s recipe. She was a lifelong resident of New Brunswick, a marvelous cook and even better baker!
