Yield: 4 to 8 servings
A good and easy supper that can also be left to simmer all day in a Crock-Pot on low heat.Ingredients:
6 slices bacon1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 pound boiled ham, slivered
1/2 cup ketchup
2 cans (16 ounces each) baked beans
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. In a large heavy skillet, cook the bacon until crisp. Drain the bacon well, then crumble. Drain all but 2 tablespoons of the bacon grease from the skillet. Add the green pepper and onion and saute gently for 5 minutes. Add the ham and cook for 2 to 3 minutes more.In an 8-inch by 12-inch baking dish, combine all the ingredients. Mix well. Bake for 1 to 1-1/4 hours. Serve hot.
