Yield: 1-13 x 9 pan

Got this recipe from my mom's box. She got it from a rancher's wife. It's really easy to make, and goes with every season.

  • 3 or 4 tart apples
  • 3 tablespoon flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Peel and core apples; then slice thin. Mix together sugar, flour, cinnamon and apples. Turn into greased 1-1/2 quart casserole dish. Add topping. Bake 30 minutes at 375 degrees or until apples are tender.

Topping

  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup butter

Mix well and spread over appples.

It was okay despite the fact that the topping stayed dusty dry and the oats did not soften much. – Anonymous Review
