Baked Vidalia Onions

Yield: Makes 4 to 6 servings.
- 4 large Vidalia onions
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
Peel and slice the onions 1/2 inch thick. Saute the onions in the butter until they're soft. Stir in the flour; then slowly add the broth. Spoon the mixture into a buttered baking dish and top with bread crumbs. Bake at 325 degrees F for 25 minutes.
