Banana Nut Bread - Blanche

Bread Recipes

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons buttermilk
  • 1 cup mashed banana (about 2 to 3 ripe bananas)
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Sift flour, soda and salt together in a large bowl. Add eggs, sugar, vegetable oil, and buttermilk. Fold in bananas and pecans.

Pour into greased pan and bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until inserted toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 15 minutes in pan then remove to plate to cool completely.
