Best Spaghetti Ever

I got this recipe from my aunt Shorty. Everyone loves this recipe at our house.
- 1-1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 large can whole tomatoes
- 1 small can tomato sauce
- 1 small can tomato paste
- 1 or 2 cans of mushrooms
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 cloves garlic, whole or chopped
- sprinkle a little Italian seasoning
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 cup water
- spaghetti noodles for 5-6 serving
Boil water for the noodles. Rinse noodles with hot water after cooking.
Sauté ground beef and onions. I squeeze the whole tomatoes and add them plus tomato sauce, tomato paste, mushrooms, oregano, bay leaves, garlic, Italian seasoning, sugar, and water. Simmer sauce 20 mimutes covered. Remove the lid and cook appoximately 10 minutes. Remove bay leaves. We like to sprinkle grated parmesan cheese on top.
