Good Cornbread
Cornmeal, Rice, Grains Recipes
Yield: 4-6
Moist and easy! My Grandmother gave me this recipe.
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 cup flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, optional
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons oil or margarine
Mix dry ingredients and whisk good before you add the liquid ingredients. Add liquid ingredients and mix, then pour into a round coated baking pan.
Bake at 425 degrees for 20 minutes or until the surface just starts to brown.
