Guacamole Spread

Yield: Makes 1 cup.
Has a delicate, nutty flavor and a smooth, buttery texture.
- 1 large ripe avocado
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon finely grated onion
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Cut the avocado in half and remove the seed, then peel. Sprinkle immediately with lime juice and mash well with a fork. Add the other ingredients and mix well. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for one hour. Serve in a small bowl surrounded by Melba toast.
