Yield: Makes 36 large or 72 small centers for dipping.
Outstanding -- and so easy to make. Dipped in chocolate, they taste like chocolate-coated peanut butter fudge.
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/3 cup chunky peanut butter
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 box (1 pound) confectioners’ sugar
- 1/3 cup instant nonfat dry milk powder
Butter an 8-inch square pan. In the top of a double boiler over boiling water combine butter and peanut butter. Stir until butter melts. Add corn syrup, water, and vanilla. Mix well. Combine sugar and dry milk, and gradually add to peanut butter mixture. Heat over boiling water until smooth. Pour into pan. Cool before cutting into squares.
