Sauces, Salad Dressings Recipes
Yield: about 6 quarts
Judging by the name of their coleslaw dressing, nobody can accuse the Gilsum Ladies Aid Society of being overly pretentious! For the annual rock swap dinner, the contributor follows this recipe -- making more than enough dressing for 25 to 30 pounds of coleslaw.
- 5 quarts mayonnaise
- 1 jar (8 ounces) spicy mustard
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1/2 cup cider vinegar
- Approximately 1-1/2 cups milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
Combine the mayonnaise, mustard, lemon juice, and vinegar and mix well. Thin with milk until you have a good consistency. Add salt and pepper to taste. Pour over the coleslaw and refrigerate until ready to serve.
