This recipe was prepared using Hood Milk.
My grandmother, made these cookies when I was a child. I am so happy to be able to make them for my family and I hope that it will become a tradition in your family as well!
- 1 cup oil
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
Beat together first four ingredients, then add flour, baking soda, and salt.
Line two bread pans with waxed paper. Divide dough evenly between pans. Press firmly and fold waxed paper to cover dough.
Refrigerate overnight.
Slice into 1/4-inch to 1/2-inch pieces.
Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
Frosting:
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 teaspoon of vanilla
